Program :

Day 01 : Arrive at Ouarzazate Angad Airport, greetings and transfer to the Hotel La Palmeraie

Day 02 : Ouarzazate – Taznakht – Erg Elghoul.

Depart by 4×4 to Taznakht, famous for saffron cultivation and colorful handcrafted carpets. Finally we reach Foum Zguid- the last town before the immensity of the desert begins. Continue on the the Mount Mdouer (tabular formations) and to Lake Iriki (an area especially known for its unique ecosystem and beautiful stretches of sand) where tamarisk and calotropis bushes grow. C’est une très belle journée variée est une bonne immersion dans ce qui deviendra pour quelques jours notre territoire. It’s a beautiful trip the first day and really helps to immerse you into the culture and environment that will continue over the next few days.

Day 03 : Erg Elghoul – Erg Chegagga.

We continue our caravan into the world of climbing sand dunes tinted a beautiful pink color like real desert nomads for whom this is no secret. We may come across nomad camps, recognizable from far distances by their distinctive large, brown tents made from goat or camel hair. By late afternoon we reach the center of Estates Ergs setting up camp near Erg Chegagga.

Day 04 : Erg Chegagga – Oued El Attach.

We cross the Dayat Chegagga which in winter becomes a rare place of pasture for camels because of a stagnant rain water buildup. This promotes grass growth for several acres with immense green contrasting beautifully with the color of the sand dunes.  After the dunes is Bouguern, where we will set up camp near Oued Laâtach.

Day 05 : Oued El Attach – Oued Nâam.

We continue our journey along the sand dunes and then continue along the river after crossing the Draa palm grove at Rass N’Khel. The landscape is gradually changing.

Day 06 : Oued Nâam – Ouled Driss.

The dunes will become more dispersed and in the background we will see Mount Bani. This has been a popular area as there is a well that attracts the nomads with their camels, sheep, and goat. We continue on to the neighboring village Oulad Driss M’hamid. We end our day in a charming boutique inn (with a nice pool) where we will spend our final night of the journey.

– Hours of trip : 5

– Accommodation: a charming camp.

Day 07 : Ouled Driss- Ouarzazate.

In the morning we take the road back to Ouarzazate, along the beautiful Draa Valley riddled with oases and kasbahs, through Agdz and Mount Kissane to enter the little city.
